PLANTER PCI 4000 GENERATION IV

Equipment developed for the planting of sugarcane, which performs all the operations of the crop planting at once, including the application insecticides against soil pests, utilizing whole sugarcane and planting 2 rows at a time, with yield around 5 ha per day.

The planter is pulled by tractor with three-point linkage system, with suggested power of 140 hp, has 2 stabilizer wheels with tires and 2 cutting disks which facilitate the planting in areas of reduced tillage and in areas of renovation where crop rotation has been used. The planter is equipped with 2 furrow openers with conventional wings which allow to open furrows similar to hand planting.

The furrow openers have adjustment for furrow spacing, depth and width, in addition to being equipped with pin unlock in the tips. The planter has 2 individual-type polyethylene fertilizer boxes with capacity for 370 liters each one which distribute fertilizer through stainless steel worm drive and are activated by an independent hydraulic motor, being that the fertilizer dosage is adjusted by oil flow valve.

The supply of seeds is carried out by hand by 4 people who supply the planter with whole cane, which is stored in a cart coupled right behind the planter, equipped with 4 work platforms and with capacity for around 4 tons of seeds.

The planter PCI 4000 Generation IV has 2 chopper boxes with feeder spouts with adjustment of height and are composed of a system of rubber roulettes and knives that pull the cane and chop it into setts of around 51 centimeters which are uniformly distributed into the furrow. The chopper boxes are activated by an independent hydraulic motor being that the quantity of buds per linear meter is regulated by the oil flow valve.

The planter also has an insecticide applicator set against soil pests composed of one polyethylene tank  for 310 liters of capacity with level display, filter, chamber, piston pump coupled to the tractor TPO, command and 2 anti-dripping nozzles which spray the insecticide directly onto the cane setts.

The planter is also equipped with 2 oscillating coverers composed of 4 concave disks with millimetric adjustment of work angle and 2 compactor rolls with steel angle bars, which perform a perfect covering of the setts.

Observation:

In the case of Meiosi planting with only one mother row, the PCI 4000 Generation IV can be modified for planting one row. For this purpose, just remove both furrow openers from the planter and reattach one of them centralized on the tool-holder bar of the planter. The same must be done to the chopper boxes, the coverers, and the cutting disks, if necessary.

For this transformation of the planter for one row, the client can count on the follow-up and orientation of the after-sale DMB technical staff.

• Cart of 2 wheels with low pressure tires 400/60x15,5 with capacity for 4 tons of seeds and with 4 work platforms with guardrail.
• Cart track gauge of 2,60 m for transportation and of 2,80 m and 3,00 m for work.
• Total length of the set of 6,95 m being that 2,85 m are of the planter and 4,10 m are the cart.
• Maximum width of the set of 3,80 m when in operation.
• Maximum height of the set of 2,70 m.
• Total weight of the set of 3.400 kg being that 2.210 kg are of the planter and 1.190 kg are of the cart
